Daily Hot Stove Wrap Up 12/11

Quote of the Day:

"Myers is no slam dunk, this is far from a lopsided deal."

-- MLB GM on the trade between the Royals and the Rays.  But still, seriously?  They gave up a crap-ton of prospects for a 31-year-old pitcher and still aren't better than the White Sox or Tigers.

It's been a relatively slow day in baseball after a weekend full of big free agent signings and big trades.  We'll be sure to have recaps and opinions from some of the biggest transactions coming up in the next few days but since I'd rather spend my free time playing Black Ops rather than write a paragraph about how Andruw Jones signed with a Japanese team, I thought today would be a good day to list all of our season recaps for all the teams in an easy place to find them.

Tommy and Wade started this blog to share their addiction to baseball and I offered to pitch it, but I can promise you that if people like you all weren't reading it, this probably would have fizzled out after the first month like most blogs.  You guys keep us going so thanks for reading and sharing (you know who you are). Eventually, we'd like to see this develop into a community where everyone can share their opinions but for now, please share your comments and opinions (that's why it's called a blog).

There's a comments section for a reason and we'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions.  For example: Are the Royals as dumb as the Marlins?  Will RA Dickey stay with the Mets?  Which team do you think Josh Hamilton go to?  Is Angel Pagan's beard the best you've ever seen?  We know what we think, we want to know what you think, so please give us your feedback, thoughts, and opinions in the comments sections whenever you want.

Now to the list of season recaps in today's slow Hot Stove Update, find your favorite teams and catch up.  Wade and Tommy put a lot of work into these for you guys, so enjoy.

AL East

NL East

  1. San Francisco Giants
  2. Los Angeles Dodgers

Raise your hand if you noticed that I listed teams in the order that they finished in the final standings.  Good, you are a certified baseball freak like us.  Catch up on all the recaps and revel in the fact that spring is coming soon.

Enjoy kids, catch you tomorrow
